Life Legacy
Age 71, Shiocton died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Eau Claire on October 25, 1939, son of the late Eugene and Ardell (Larson) Johnson. Paul served in the US Navy Submarine Service. He then graduated from UW Milwaukee where he met his wife. On August 11, 1965, he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Rullcoski in Milwaukee. Paul worked at Wisconsin Electric for 26 years in addition to being a weekend farmer. He was active in the community and a member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis, and Shiocton School Board. He was an avid fly fisherman and grouse hunter.
Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; daughter, Kirsten (Eric) Brown, Richfield; son, Barry Johnson, New Berlin; two brothers, Gary Johnson, New London; and Gene (Pat) Johnson, Mesa, AZ; a sister, Lori (Jim) Perry, Chandler, AZ; four grandchildren: Alex, Kate, Molly and Sawyer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special nephew, Todd.
Funeral Mass for Paul will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Stephensville with Fr. John Kastenholtz and Sister Pauline Feiner officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Shiocton from 4-7 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
A memorial fund has been established.
