Biography

Mrs. JoAnn Marie Singleton Thomas, 71 of Mineral Springs Road, Waco passed away March 2, 2010.

Mrs. Thomas was born on May 24, 1938 in Lincoln, Alabama the daughter of the late Ernest Singleton and Virginia Waldrop Singleton.

A retired seamstress of Hubbard Company and member of Waco Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Thomas of Waco; children, Jamie & Dawn Thomas of Tallapoosa, Joe Davis of Waco and Jimmy & Cathy Davis of Buchanan; step-son, Terry Thomas of Bremen; sister & brother in law, Kathy & Houston Jones of Athens, AL; brothers & sisters in law, Julian & Sara Singleton of Lake City, FL and Colvin & Holly Singleton of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Jeremy Davis, Jonathon Davis, John Davis, Wesley, Thomas, Wyatt Thomas and Will Thomas; step-grandson, Shane Thomas; two nieces and three nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 between the hours of 4 & 8 pm.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2 pm from Waco Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Shadrix and Reverend Jason Hatchett officiating. Music will be provided by Mike & Shelby Smith. Tim Thompson, Steve Hatchett, David Wallace, Kenneth Spearman, Mark Rainey, Rodney Stamps and Jonathon Davis will serve as pallbearers. Senior Citizens Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Waco Church Cemetery.
