Charles F. Rineer

June 9, 1939 - May 3, 2012

Charles F. Rineer, age 72 , of Ocean View, DE; formerly of New Holland, PA. passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness with progressive supra nuclear palsy. His wife and son were by his side. He was born in Quarryville, PA son of the late David F. Rineer and Miriam McComsey Rineer.

Mr. Rineer retired as a welder after many years of service to Ford New Holland. After retirement he traveled extensively throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. He was very proud of his military service in the US Army and was also a Life Member of the American Legion Post 662 in New Holland. He enjoyed boating and fishing in the local bays as well as off shore.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Linda K. Rineer; son Charles F. Rineer, Jr. and wife Stacy Duffey Rineer of Orbisonia, PA; two daughters: Cindy Butzer and husband Lee of Leola, PA and Dana McConnell and husband Pat of Terre Hill, PA; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, David K. Rineer of New Providence, PA.

A Memorial Service with military honors be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. A reception will follow at Quillens Point VFW, Mason-Dixon Post #7234, Ocean View. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ocean View, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Rineer to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or to South Coastal Library, 43 Kent Avenue, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
