Biography

Anna May Luff Carroll

Passed away peacefully on July 1, 2012 at Cadbury at Lewes. She was 86. Mrs. Carroll was born was born at home on June 15, 1926 at the Graham farm near Vernon, Delaware. She was the daughter of Clayton Hancock and Nellie Melvin Luff. Anna graduated from Caesar Rodney high School in 1944. Mrs. Carroll worked at the People’s Bank and Cahall Gas Company in Harrington, DE. She married George B. Carroll. Jr. in August of 1944 and became a full time homemaker and mother. Mrs. Carroll returned to work in 1961 as a teacher’s assistant at the John S. Charleton School.

Anna Carroll was preceded in death by her husband George B. Carroll, Jr in 2009. She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Ann Carroll Beebe and husband Richard, Susan Elizabeth Carroll Bryan and Theresa Jo Carroll Garcia and husband Rutilio along with seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and her brother William D. Luff and his wife Margaret Ann. She was predeceased in death by her brother Melvin Luff and his wife Helen Jean.
