LINDEN— Thomas Earl Knight, 79, of Linden, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009, in Linden. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 13, 2009, at the Linden United Methodist Church with Bro. Mark McClanahan and Roy Knight officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Knight was born June 10, 1929 in Linden, Texas, to Robert Lee Knight, Jr. and Cora Leta Burns Knight. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, fire chief for Beckville Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years, Army veteran and a member of Shiloh Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Keith Knight and wife, Melanie of Jefferson, Brian Knight and wife, Shannon of Beckville, Lee Knight and wife, Rachaelle of Cushing, two daughters, Thomesa Capps of Red Hill, Tonya Dorgan and husband, Terry of Linden, one brother, Rev. James Knight and wife, Marie of Linden, one sister, Betty Phillips of Longview, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the home of Tonya Dorgan in Linden.
