Biography

John E. Neceda, age 77, of Temple died Friday, January 25, 2008. Services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 28, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Dearing and Rev. Gary Baxley officiating. Private burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Neceda was born June 15, 1930 in Czechoslovakia to Stephen and Anna (Kupso) Neceda. He came to the United States at an early age and lived in New York for many years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during W.W.II and Korea. He worked as a mechanical design engineer for Texas Instruments until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and Austin Rose Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Stephen Neceda. Survivors include his wife, Julie Neceda of Temple, two daughters, Dorothy Neceda of New York, Anne Marie Leone' of New Jersey, two sons, Richard Neceda and Tommy Neceda both of New York, six grandchildren and one sister, Helen Cambalik of New York. Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Ann Sitton of Houston, Carole Huff of Luling, Charlie Cromer of Kentucky, one stepson, James Knapp of North Carolina and uncle, Joe Neceda of Florida.
