I have thanked God today for allowing me to know you and Ronnie. You are wonderful people and friends. I am so very, very sorry that Ronnie lost this battle, but he has won the war, and is now reaping his reward. I'll never think of Ronnie without thinking first, of course, of his God-given talent at the keyboard. He was a great person and gratefully was "Just an Old Sinner Saved by Grace." You take care of yourself and get some much needed rest. I love you.

I have fond memory of Ronnie. August 1966 I was on board the USS Wiltsie in the middle of the South China Sea and my old school mate came on board for of his tour of duty in the Viet Nam War. We were along way from Temple Texas. I was taken off the ship the very next day and didn't get to catch up on what was going on at home. We move back home last year and I never got to fellowship with Ronnie. Now, I will just have to wait till I see him in Haven.

That was the kind of police officer and man that he was. My sympathy and prayers go out to the family. May God grant you peace. To Lt. Flippo; 10-19 for your final 10-42.

Ronnie was such a sweet and dear person. We were great frends in high school and we even went to the Senior Prom (1964) together as friends. He was always there for me when I needed him. To Ronnie's family and friends. During my 15 years at Temple P.D., Ronnie was someone that I always respected and admired, but most of all, a great friend. Ronnie was my Sgt. on evening shift patrol on my first day out of the Academy in 1978. He always provided leadership and counsel to young officers. Ronnie will be greatly missed by all.

He always had a big hug for his friends and a wonderful sense of humor. My condolences go to his family but may the wonderful memories you have give you strength as you mourn his loss. But know that he is with God and his angels and no longer in pain. We will miss you Ronnie Flippo, may God bless your family as they celebrate your life.

I had the pleasure of being your daughter-in-law for almost 7 years. After my divorce, you were still treated me like your daughter-in-law and I will always appreciate that. You were a kind, funny and talented man and I will miss you very much. I know you are in heaven hunting coons, fishing, playing the piano and singing, just like you did when you were here with us. Rest in peace Ronnie.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Flippo family during this time of great loss. I have known Ronnie just about all of my life because his sister Karen and I were childhood friends and we lived down the street from each other. Even though he will not be walking among us,we do know that he walks with our Lord. Rest in peace, Ronnie, and we will hear your keyboard once again when we all get to heaven.

Ronnie was a wonderful friend to have and always great and accepting to be around. We were in the band from 6th grade in Lamar Jr High, through Temple High and then Temple Jr College. We were in many smaller instrumental and vocal groups all those years and he was a very accomplished musician on the trombone, as a vocalist, and perhaps most of all on the piano. He encouraged me in my music and taught me much. I especially enjoyed spending time with him at First Baptist Church in Temple singing in the choir and playing our instruments on special Sundays or Wednesdays. I never knew anyone who didn,t like him. He was the greatest friend to have and will be greatly missed by many. His mother and sister Karen were super people also to know. What a wonderful family. I am sorry I never got to meet his children, but know he would have loved them and been proud of them so very much. Thank you Ronnie for being an important part of my early life. You and your music will live on in all our hearts forever and I look forward to meeting you again in the heavenly band and choirs!

Ronnie was a dear friend. We spent many hours fishing together, though not near enough. I got to know the man as well as the Police Officer. We laughed and played together, shared stories both good and bad. He awed me with his talent playing the piano and his singing too. I teased him about all that talent "in those fat little fingers". He would just grin and keep on playing. I'll miss you Ronnie..... R.I.P. my friend.
