Life Legacy
Eleuterio “Terry” Neves, 92, beloved husband of Lidia Neves, died peacefully at his home with his family around him on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
He was born in Trancoselos, Portugal, February 20, 1920, the son of the late Antonio Almeida Neves and Clementina Almeida Neves. He had been employed in the Town of Wallingford for many years until his retirement and was a decorated and proud veteran of World War II where he served as a Sergeant in the 830th Aviation Engineer Battalion. He was a former President of the Portuguese American Club and a member of the Portuguese Continental Union and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years and his daughter and grandchildren.
Entombment was private in the mausoleum of Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. He will be sadly missed by his wife and family.
