Life Legacy
Frances Greco Smeriglio Berry, 81, of Wallingford, beloved wife of Harry D. Berry, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Frances was born in Stamford, July 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Frank Greco and Anna Canella Greco and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. She was employed by Transformer Technology Inc. in Durham for many years and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Besides her husband Harry, she is survived by her children Gary Smeriglio and his wife Robin, Richard Smeriglio and his wife Bernadette, Edward Smeriglio and his wife Cheri, and Christopher Berry and his wife Kristin, all of Wallingford; her seven grandchildren Richard, Nicole, Benjamin, Jacklyn, Jessica, Emily and Melany; her sister Rose Conte; and her brother Louis Greco and his wife Lorraine all of Stamford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Edward S. Smeriglio in 1968; and her brother Joseph “Chubby” Greco.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Monday, May 21, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
