Biography

Funeral services for Mary Gaynell Robinson, age 81, of Buffalo Texas are set for 10:30 AM Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo. Rev. Donnie Suits will officiate the service. Graveside services will be 3 PM Monday at Fields Store Cemetery, which is located near Waller, Texas.

Public visitation will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM on Sunday with the family present from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home. Walters Buffalo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Gaynell Robinson was born in Pear Valley, Texas, on September 7, 1929 to Milton and Lona Mae Dubose. She had lived in Buffalo since 1981, coming from South Houston, Texas. She attended the Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. She enjoyed singing, and she and her group of singers would visit nursing homes to sing. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Guy Russell and Charlie VanNatter, one brother, Milton Dubose; four sisters, Lillie Mae Murray, Helen Gabriel, Shirley Harmier, and Ruth Bell Yarborough. Mrs. Robinson passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Buffalo, Texas.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband, William “Robbie” Robinson of Buffalo, Texas; sons, Leland Russell and wife, Rosemary of Buffalo, Texas, Robert Russell and wife, Vickie of Houston, Texas, Irvin Russell of Houston, Texas, Norman Russell of Houston, Texas, and John VanNatter and wife, Lisa of Fairfield, Texas; daughter, Darlene Jones and husband, Lonnie of Houston, Texas; sister, Geneva Joslin and husband, Rex of Melvin, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
