John Howard O’Dell, age 65 of Madisonville, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Conroe Regional Medical Center. John was born on August 24, 1945 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Leonard John & Clara (Linville) O’Dell. He worked as a roustabout in the oilfield business and had lived in Madison County since 1984. Previously, he lived in Oklahoma. As a hobby, John enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles “Chuck” O’Dell.
His family members include his wife, Wynona O’Dell of Madisonville, Texas; two daughters, Christina O’Dell of College Station, Texas and Melissa Lang & husband, Jason of Madisonville, Texas; brother, William O’Dell of Woodard, Oklahoma; sister, Susie Harder of Fairview, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Glenis O’Dell of Salmon, Idaho and grandchildren, Kevin O’Dell, Zachary O’Dell, Danielle Jenkins, Stormy Lang and Summer Lang.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oklahoma.
